Finally here! Nerdy Totes!

Nerds Get the Chicks Tote @ LiPeony!

I know better late then never but I finally got one of my favorite prints on a tote bag. The reason behind the lateness was I wanted to try it out and it's been about two months that I've been wearing it out hanging with my friends. It's 100% cotton with a whopping 15 x 16 inches of space for random things. I love the size and simplicity because I just throw whatever inside and it's good to go. Most of all I really like how it has something I created on it and I took the time to research and put the print on the bag myself.

Nerds and Chicks @ LiPeony

Though it took me a while to get around to it I'm very happy I decided to try something new with what I already love doing.

Until next time... release that little idea lingering at the back of your head

New Cards for the Holidays?

"When Santa runs out of elves he uses happy chicks"

I know it's not even the end of August and I'm already preparing for the holiday season in my shop LiPeony! Actually it didn't even cross my mind until one day I was lurking in the Etsy Forums and stumbled upon this post by KreatedByKatrina (btw visit her soap for soap goodies like gingerbread men soap! ) and she's been one of those long standing people on Etsy who has a lot of knowledge and experience and when she writes something I read it. This post happened to be "Preparing Your Shop for The Holidays" . She lists several good ways to prepare and opened the board for others to both learn and put in their advice. I've been gobbling up every single morsel of knowledge. I decided to finally start on those Christmas/Holiday cards. I've always wanted to be hands on with my work and making cards is no exception. I decided to experiment with the little print above.

Martha Stewart Crafting Scoring Board
I also have this nifty Martha Stewart Crafting Scoring Boards when I was making my friend's wedding invitations. It's not a necessary tool but it's so awesome to have because you can make crisp lines on blank sheets of papers to fold into cards. It's simple and they sell it at craft stores. I think this was brought at Micheal's with one of their lovely 40% coupons and it came up to a little over $11. Yes this thing retails around $20 hence the coupons.

It's very simple and the whole thing is outlined with inch ruler measures and the corresponding scoring groove. So all you really need is the bone folder which is that flat and rounded edged tool that comes with it. Place your paper on the board and pick how far you want your folded line to be and press the bone folder from that groove all the way down the card.

Ta-da! Perfect groove where you can fold your blank piece of paper into a card!

Now a nifty little card!Open up for anyone to write their special message in. This is just a practice run because I do want either a luster/pearl or a glossy finish. Haven't decided yet. I've also deciding on whether to buy plain white envelopes with the cards are these lovely light light blue envelopes which cost a tad more. I'm leaning towards the blue ones because I think it adds a bit more. Look forward to new card sets (was thinking sets of 3 or 6) close close in the future. So how have you been preparing for the holidays or are you still going "WHAT? HOLIDAYS? ITS STILL SUMMER??"

Until next time... stay groovy!

Governor's Island Origami fun!

Governor's Island Nolan Park
Isn't it amazing a place so full of trees and picturesque as Governor's Island is literally 10 minutes away from lower Manhattan? For last Saturday which Mr. Weatherman said would be thunder storming (which it did not) I was volunteering to help teach people how to make some origami whales, fish and crabs.

Ferry entrance/exit at Governor's Island
First off the ferry ride was packed full of people but then again its free and there's boats every 30 minutes but you'll have to check the schedule HERE. The ferry was full of people who were dressed as flappers and even a steampunk couple. Apparently there was a jazz festival on the island! I was amazed by this sudden leap into the Roaring 20's and really regret being too shy to ask to take photos of some of the more elaborate costumes!

The view of Manhattan from Governor's Island was awesome. The above pictures shows the ferry dock/piers on the Manhattan side. You could also see the Staten Island ferry along with the other NYC boat tours. It was pretty sunny and hot out on deck but inside are two hallways of benches to sit on and there's no air conditioner. No worries the trip was about ten minutes.
What's also neat about the island was that there are these old homes that can be rented out. The New New Team rented a house and basically decorated the inside and made a whole gift boutique full of wonderful items from the New New Team! Of course I couldn't help but buy a little something something for myself:

Vintage Beaded Necklace from WishByFelicity!
Seriously I have been eyeing her colorful jewelry from we first met way back when. She's also such a sweetheart and helpful during our craft show shares. I tend to wear a lot of neutrals like beige, soft greys, dark blues... pretty monotone and I've been leaning towards buying colorful accents to add to my mundane clothing hues. The one above was perfect... even my mom was eyeing it. (no mom I will have to get you your own!) Okay enough of me and my goodie of the day! I was pretty late but Lucrafts (who makes these unique switch light covers!) , Paperelle (who makes awesome origami stars jewelry and going to vend at New York Anime Festival) and Lamusekalliope (who makes adorable little critters and pouches) were already hard at work with table of little kids around them!

As usual I was the awkward "OMG I"M SO LATE AND SO SOOOORRRYYY" person. It took a bit but I got into it and taught all these kids how to make whales, fishes and crabs. Whales were a big hit with the girls and the boys like the crabs... go figure? By the end of the day we were all covered in glitter with goggle eyes and tiny plastic gems everywhere. It was so fun! The kids were adorable though the younger ones wanted you to make it for them while the older kids were actually having that "I'm going to learn how to make this" look on their faces. Oh btw we learned origami from this awesome website Origami Club... the animations really really help!

All in all it was a great day. Volunteered, met some more awesome crafters, delved into another hidden gem of NYC and went back to watch Crazy, Stupid Love (hilarious movie!) and ate with my cousin and sister before she left for college. It was one of the best days of summer!

Until next time... what were your summer adventures?

Bedtime Stories

A Monster Bedtime Story @ LiPeony

I remember as a kid I had a huge book of tiny bedtime stories one for every night of the year. It got passed down to my brother who pours over it. I'm a big fan of books like these because there's just so many stories inside one collection and it was conveniently all in one book with a picture for each. I created the above picture because of this penchant for late night reading and imaginative friends and adventures.

On another note another one of my favorite kid's reading material is the monthly magazine called Cricket. It's a magazine for ages 9- 14 filled with poems, stories from books, recipes, tutorials, comic strips from around the world and spans all different time eras. There are also lots of creative writing and art contests that they publish. I have years of these subscriptions on my bookshelf that my brother and sister poured though. For his birthday this year I'm buying him a year's subscription. I think that's more worth it then buying him more toys but of course he just really wants another computer game.

What's your child's or childhood's bedtime routine?

Until next time... keep on reading and exploring!

Boy Prints Ahoy!

Dinosaur and Chibi Boy @ LiPeony

The weather has been awfully nice lately and its definitely a pleasant change then those cold spells and blizzards this winter was filled with. Unfortunately with this sudden change of weather I always have Spring fever/cold . Anyways I hope everyone else is doing great! I had many people tell me I should make more boy oriented art and inspired by my 10 year old brother I did! The one above is the first one... I loved dinosaurs as a kid and had so many picture books of dinosaurs and at one point wanted to be a paleontologist. Now my brother has those books and he loves looking at all the different dinosaurs. I do have some others to be done so look forward to some more Chibi Boy adventures!

After a lot of procrastination I decided to make a Facebook fanpage HERE. If you want to please "like" it.For some reason it was extremely frustrating for me to set up until finally I realized I had to do everything as admin account not as my fanpage account. Weird. I'm still not sure what to do with it... what's your fanpage and what do you do with it?

Until next time... enjoy the super awesome weather!

Giving a Bit

I thought the day before while rushing to finish a whole bunch of felt pins that I would donate my earnings from today's vending at Brooklyn Flea to the Red Cross. I guess someone heard because I had my best day ever. My normally slow prints went out like hotcakes in the afternoon and I sold twice as many pins as I normally sell. I'm taking it as a sign and the minute I put the money into the bank I'm off to donate to the Red Cross online.

I loved the way my bags came out and above is a picture of it. Many people loved and laughed over them but no luck. I'll be putting them up in my store soon. On another note today was a bit of a mix bag of experiences. I had my first person haggle over my prints and someone pushed my table and broke one of my larger glass frames. I didn't catch who did it as I was busy cleaning up the broken glass. I learned from my wise and experienced booth buddies Yaniamor and KerriBrewer to hold people responsible even if what they broke didn't have a high price tag. It was about principal. In the end it was still a great day.
Coralia @ Yanimore
Also I didn't go away empty handed I brought these fantastic earrings above but in a ruby color and I love them because they're so small and light. They are also sparkly and perfect for someone as petite as me. I have some amethyst colored ones that I wore to a wedding and my family loved them!KerriBrewer
My other awesome booth mate Kerri whose a fantastic photographer mounts her photos on wooden blocks and make them perfect to mix and match to put on a counter, desk or anywhere. The above picture is a beautiful way to arrange her gorgeous work.

Until next time... give ... even if its just a little...

Better Late then Never

Nerd and Chicks 5 x 7 @ LiPeony
Its been a while since I've written but I've been studying for an important test and its pretty funny how I got into this situation. Normally I'm pretty lazy and I love to procrastinate but life always comes along and gives me a kick in the rear end to keep on going forward. That takes me here...

I've always thought about printing a few select designs of my art on simple cotton totes. One of them is definitely the one above. I'd be carrying one around. It'll be great to try something totally different as I've never did it before. So look forward to my trials and errors! =D

Until next time... keep on trying new things!

Coffee Love!

Today I'm on a coffee loving trip. On those occasions when I have a pounding headache or just feeling all drained in the morning... coffee works its magic. There are zillions of different ways to make coffee... sugar or not, cream or not, hazelnut, french vanilla and all those different coffee beans. One of my favorite places in Wholefoods and Dean & Deluca is passing by the coffee section. The aroma is heavenly and each one is subtle. Now I sound like a crazy person obsessed over coffee but it's one heck of a drink.

Here's some Coffee love from the NewNewTeam!

Kitchen Scrubby Soap @ nordeasoaperie
Light coffee scrubby soap? Yes Please! Best part of waking up is the smell of coffee in your home. Yes Please!

Coffee Button @ suzanneartist
The perfect funny button for any coffee lover and I have once in a while drank a wee bit too much coffee and acted all jittery for hours.
Handmade Weekly Planner @ PriaVanda
Whilst you are drinking your coffee and getting charged up for the rest of the day now its the perfect time to check out whats in store. The above satin planner is perfect little book to jot down everyday things you need to do.

Until next time.. get that cup of joe and get ready for the rest of the day!

Little Love Cards

I must confess I am not one of the neatest person in the world so when I was searching for something else I found these tiny kraft envelopes I brought from Muji almost a year ago. I decided to make some mini cards using another long lost craft I use to do which was rubber stamping carving. I used an old cupcake and heart stamp and carved a new cloud one. I used some sparkle modpodge on the cupcake hearts and I Heart U though the camera didn't pick up the sparkles too well. I used Memento Dew Drop stamping pads which are fantastic because you can cover both large areas and also tiny details of a stamp. As usual I washed my rubber stamps with StazOn All Purpose Cleaner. It feels so great to be crafty and using materials that I've brought long ago. I'll be seeing how well they fare in the Brooklyn Flea on Saturday March 26 when I'll be vending at.
On another sadder note... Borders has filed for bankruptcy and the store near me is closing out slashing their prices. I hope someone buys them because I still love flipping though actual paper books rather then those e-readers and what not. I did pick up this lovely puzzle above. Impossible puzzle! Ha! I laugh at your face! Once I buy a puzzle frame to put it in I'll get started. My sister and I love building puzzles and we have a 1000 piece of "Disney though the Years" hanging in the living room. I picked this puzzle because of the picture of all the butterflies and it looks so random and packed but you can make out each individual butterfly.

Until next time... build something fantastic and challenging!

Prepare for the Cold!

LiPeony @ Brooklyn Flea
Brr! Tomorrow is suppose to dip into the 20's in the coldest temperatures of the season so far. With my luck I happen to be vending at Brooklyn Flea. Its one of my favorite places to not only sell but buy. It's only though the wonderful people of the NewNewTeam that I was able to really get myself out in my local neighborhood. If you're out braving the cold tomorrow stop on by to warm up with some delicious food and browse around.

Until next time... keep warm and be safe!

Creativity vs Fear

Barn Owl and Mouse Cupcake @ LiPeony

I was on the verge of not posting the little print above because I thought to myself owls have been so overdone and they're everywhere on etsy and also in stores. That changed when I read this article on etsy called Fearless Creativity... it really spoke to me. There are always so many ideas bouncing in my head but few make it on paper because of the reasons mentioned such as "this will never be as good as xxx" or "it's been done" etc. This can be applied in life as we're always besieged by fear and it creates this glass ceiling. Not letting this fear get you down is an ongoing struggle but I hope reading this little article would give you encouragement to combat those little voices in your head.

Until next time... don't let fear bind your creativity!

DIY Flowers for Wedding? Hmm?

For a wedding for about 300 people and about 34-36 tables my friend decided to go though the DIY flower centerpiece arrangements. It took about 8-9 hours to create a bouquet of 15 roses (salmon and light pink color) for 30 odd tables. Though for the first few hours it was just two people making it but it sure got a whole lot quicker when five people were bunching them up. If you're going though the DIY route you better have time set up for:

1. re-hydrating flowers ( can take up to 12 hours)
2. make sure you have enough buckets and room to store them.
3. good pair of gloves and shears etc (if you need to de-thorn them)
(not all roses are created equal- the salmon colored one had bigger but fewer thorns compared to the pale pink one)
4. Watch or print out some DIY tutorials on how to arrange flowers.
5. great slaves... I mean friends to help you out.

All in all the flowers (600-700 roses) and four bridesmaid bouquets, 1 bridal bouquet and a throwaway bouquet (all premade) and vases roughly came out to under 2k. They were ordered from Grower's Box (For some reason they don't deliver on Mondays but the flowers did arrive earlier then expected by Fedex. They have instructions and I think they also provide some tools to help cut the flowers. The flowers were fairly fresh and looked nice) . Another similar site is Fiftyflowers. The vases the flowers were put in were at a dollar a piece came from Dollar Tree (They can ship it to the store to be picked up and let me opened and inspect every single vase before I left the store).

It was a lot of work but also a lot of fun as we all rushed to make everything ready for the wedding that turned out to be an awesome time!

On a side not I'll be vending at the Brooklyn Flea this Sunday so if you're in the neighborhood stop on by! Also I'll be announcing a new contest sometime this week and it's going to be a doozy!

Until next time... have an awesome day!

Quick Peep for Fall

It's been a while since I updated and it's been busy busy! I've been helping my friend and her wedding this Thanksgiving and it's drawing mighty close! I'll have photos of the DIY things I did with help from my buddies. I'm in the middle of making tiny personalized tags for the chopstick favors and just finished creating the "money box" where people stuff monetary gifts for the couple. Wrapping fabric around a box is hard then it looks!

The uniqueness of this wedding is that its a blend of a traditional Chinese and white wedding. This is my first time as a bridesmaid it's definitely an eye opener on traditions and the actual cost and time that goes into it. There's the traditional tea ceremony where teas are exchanged with both sides of the family as a sign of respect and union. The banquet is usually around 8 different dishes (8 in Chinese sounds similar to the word "good luck") and each dish has it's own significance. For details this site explains what each dish represents Chinese Banquet. I hope to take some awesome pictures if I'm not too busy to running around.

Until then here's a little deer and fall inspired print. It took a couple hours of tweaking and putting it down and picking it up until I was satisfied! I hope everyone is having an awesome autumn!

Until next time... eat them turkey and be thankful =)

Crafts in Chelsea Wrap Up

Last Saturday I vended at Crafts in Chelsea which is a joint fundraiser between the NewNewTeam and P.S. 11. Needless to say it was a huge success! The school raised about $8,000 and imagine all the extra programs this will provide! That day was also unbelievably WINDY! There was reported 50mph gusts and I definitely do not doubt that. I was sharing a space with Linda from PurtyBird and in the midst of our stuff getting blown over, displays falling, items strewn to the wind we had a lot of frustrated fun. This was my first time really in a weather situation I found it very funny because I feel there's just so much I can do and I should just try to find the humor in the situation. Linda was the funniest and most awesome share. She was extremely helpful and very cool to talk to!
Fortunately around 12:30 we got moved to another space down on the street and it was a godsend. The wind was just a breeze, there was sunlight and it was warm. For some reason our first spot was this vortex of wind that never stopped. My display still needs a lot of work. I managed to buy some 5 x 7 binder sleeves and those are totally awesome. It makes it so much easier for people to flip though and look at my prints. They were also protected and didn't fly off thanks to the wind. I will have to buy more. That day I was surprised that many people brought prints. I ran out of my Animal Trio because people wanted to buy them for their nursery or for a baby shower.

People also brought my pins. I had taped them to my big orange box to prevent them from being blown away and that actually made it easier to browse and choose a pin. Maybe it was because of the extremely bright orange-red fabric of the box but it caught a lot of people's eyes. Also people love love bright colors. All my orange goldfish pins were sold along with my red panda pins.

Another thing I notice is that even though it's somewhat close to Christmas (maybe?) most of the people who brought stuff from me brought it for themselves. I guess it's present buying time isn't really here yet. Though I've been very busy doing custom orders which I looooove doing! So if you want some custom print (I've been doing families and weddings a lot) just pop a convo to me at LiPeony.

I also brought some awesome things at the fair too but that's for another post =D

Here's Linda from PurtyBird with her awesome felt monsters and scrabble tiled necklaces and glass tile magnets. People really liked buying small ticket items but when they did they usually brought more then one.
Here's a victory pose at the end of the fair of me and Linda! WE SURVIVED!

Here are some tips for surviving windy craft fair day (gleaned from NewNewTeam)!
  1. If you are going to bring a tent bring some study weights to weight it down and also weigh down your table (s). (A lot of people bring in empty plastic cartons and fill it with water when they get to the fair)
  2. Try not to put sides to the tent because it'll act like a sail and your tent can hurt someone.
  3. Or better yet don't even bring a tent if you can help it.
  4. Have lots of tape and clamps!
  5. Find out the weather beforehand!
  6. Have your displays laid flat (clamped securely if possible).
  7. Have a container for you biz cards. You don't want those to fly away.
  8. Remember if things get too hairy... breathe... you'll recall this day and laugh =)
Due to the success of my felt pins... I'll be bringing them back to my shop later this week =)

Until next time... don't get bloooooownnnn awaaaaaay!

Outer Space and Earth Adventures

Everyone was wondering what the "3,2,1 Blast Off" teaser by the Etsy Twitter was talking about. Apparently in celebration of the space program NASA and Etsy have teamed up for a CRAFT CONTEST! Basically creating an original work dedicated/inspired by space, stars, astronauts, spaceships and all that outer space goodness! The above little print is what I've sent in. This print was first drawn about a year ago but never got around to finishing it. While working on it yesterday I realized that I had to rework it from scratch as my technique evolved. You know what? I think it came out looking great =D .

The grand prize is a trip to see a real life space shuttle launch! Now that is super cool! Also your art is aboard the space shuttle too... I think. Double cool! I encourage everyone to participate as it's fun and really... I'm sure everyone has dreamed about being an astronaut at least once.. On earthly adventures. Tomorrow is going to be my first and probably last craft fair for this year at Crafts In Chelsea unless I muster something for December. November is going to be full of helping my friend prepare for her wedding! Its on 21st street between 8th and 9th avenue. Though I heard the weather is going to be mighty windy... le sigh. Good thing I've managed to buy 5 x 7 binder sleeves for my prints. I'm planning to put them into two binders so people can flip though them like a book as opposed to just laying them flat in piles which I've always done. I'm also in the process of making a banner out of felt and embroidery thread. I'll take some pictures of it when it is done. I'll be selling mostly 5 x 7 prints, frames, rest of my felt pins and cards. Hope me luck tomorrow!

Until next time... to outer space and BEYOND!

Weekend Wrap-Up

This weekend was a busy one! I was vending at the Hester Street Fair and it was very fun! I shared the space with two other NewNew Teammates... Corey from Sansmap that makes these awesome bags and Angela that has her own WEBSITE in the making and Etsy shop EnchantraGirl also in progress =D. She mixes and makes all these beautiful jewelry that has a fresh simple taste to it. I've already ordered a ring XD. Can't wait to see it!

Today was slow and probably because the weather had that "threatening it might rain" outlook but the day was actually very beautiful and warm. I was also the day with the World Cup game between England and the U.S.A if I'm not mistaken.
Despite that there was a fair amount to traffic coming in and there was 50/50 amount of vendors and food vendors. The food is awesome... I tried out the chocolate baguettes from the bread stand across from me and it was so so so good! Angela raved about the omelet station and the summer rolls. There was also the interesting spice vendors that had just bowls and bowls of different spices above. They also made blends of spices on request and I thought that was pretty darn nifty. Thankfully the wind was minor and the spices weren't sent to our tent as I'm very sensitive to strong smells.
Here are the new cards I made with the new stamps and stamp pads. If you want to know more about the process and reviews on the new ink I brought you can refer to this POST. My sister was surprised they were stamped on because they look printed to her. The ink dries so smoothly on the paper. I was surprised at what sold which was this octopus tea card I made a while ago.
These are my prints. I've yet to find a nice 5 x 7 photo holder that can hold my photos both vertically and horizontally so I left them in small piles. One thing I do love is the 5 x 7 three photo frame where I put my animal trio in. That was how I had meant for the trio to be displayed. It would look awesome in a nursery or child's room. I might be making some new animal prints like that very soon. I've also been asked to make custom orders of the simpler designs like the animals with people's names on it. I haven't thought of that but that's a great gift for people.

Sunday my friends and I had a crafting party of sorts where we made different pocket invitations for the wedding. We followed these simple instructions on Wedding Bee. I don't have any pictures which I regret but it was fairly easy. If you do like pocket invites you can adjust these to fit your style. Once thing is I do love the Martha Stewart Score Board which is awesome for scoring =D.

Until next time how was ya weekend?

New Ideas To Try!

It's hard to believe that June is already here! I have a craft show June 12th at the Hester Street Fair. I've been experimenting with an idea of making some stamped notebooks and cards. I've been falling a bit behind on drawing so I've slowed down in putting new art to my LiPeony Art Print shop. Anyhos I made the above little stamps... a camera, penguin and fish. They're three things my significant other loves. He plays around with his DSLR camera and he has this thing for cute penguins and fish. I've been playing around with designs and patterns and I like the ones above. I'm not sure whether to put them on blank cards or notebooks. I found these very nice small 4 x 6 notebooks that are made of recycled paper. I might want to add a button clasp to the side to close the book. The reason is that when I drop my own books in my bags sometimes they get caught with other books or stuff in my bag and it bends or ruins the pages. I'll be researching and buying some stamping ink. I want some very vivid colors. So far it seems Stazon, Ancient Page and ColorBox are pretty good. Once I get decisions on these done I'll be hosting a giveaway of these patterned notebooks. So look out for that next week!

Also with Otakon coming up I've also been working on some art to put up for the art auction. So far I am finished with one. I need two more. This year getting an artist alley table was pretty expensive this year. So I opted not to get one. Though I did want to get one but last year I didn't go see the other exhibits and what not. So this year won't be the same! =D

Until next time... stay cool =D

Beginner Gardener

Living in the packed urban area of NYC especially in Manhattan it's hard to grow most anything. My mom decided to change that. She had some trimmings and bulbs and went to get a small long flower pot. Now they're growing pretty nicely. The tall ones are chili peppers and I'm not sure what the small bulbs are. We've tried many times to grow various plants outside on our window but they all tend to get lil bugs or they just don't thrive. Hopefully these will bloom and lil chilli peppers will come out. My mom doesn't want to eat the the peppers she just loves adding the color red to the home >_
Chibi Chive Garden Print @ LiPeony
I'm very sure a lot of people are doing their garden in the Spring and some are doing it right now. I decided it was perfect time to draw up little gardening prints. I've always loved watching people grabbing fresh herbs from their garden or the mini ones people have in their homes when watching cooking shows. Though it does look easy we've tried and no success and we definitely have no space. I'll be vending at Hester Street Fair on June 12th. So if you're in the neighborhood stop on by =D

Until next time... any tips on gardening and what's in your garden?

Fluffy Sweets =D

Cotton Candy Balloon Bunny @ LiPeony
When it gets warmer around here I get a craving for cotton candy. Around the summer there are several small fairs and carnivals with rides for kids, games and lots and lots of food! Last weekend I went to the Hester Street Fair. It was small with about 20-30 vendors and most of it was food. There were also vintage and jewelry shops there. It was very windy when my sister and I went so there was tons of dust flying everywhere >=( . The neighborhood is very old and there's a library and the Fair took place in the large park. I'll be vending there June 12th 2010 so if you happen to be in the hood stop on by.

The most popular and well known vendor was from Luke's Lobster. I went to their store on E. 7th street and I must say the lobster rolls were delicious. The bread is awesome and they're not cheap on the lobster. There's less mayo then on some of the others that I tried which I prefer but they add this pinch of spices that I love. They also have this Maine root beer and the blueberry one was so refreshing! One thing is I didn't like the pickle which gave me a stomach ache =_=. Right afterward I went to watch Avatar in 3D so that was not a very good experience. I don't like or eat pickles in general. I was very impressed with the amount of baked goods and I brought some macaroons from Macaron Parlour. I got the Earl Grey and Smores macaroon and boy they were so so so good. It was slight crisp crunch and chewy. I was very surprised by the Earl Grey one because I'm not a fan of that variety of tea but as a macaroon I'd eat it any time =D. It also turns out that the weekend I went was also Susan G. Komen Foundation’s Bake for Hope Sale. I got some red velvet lollipops which are balls of red velvet dipped in white chocolate on a lollipop stick which were scrumptious!

Until next time... stay sweet sweet sweet! =D
